We've waited all college football season long to bring you this episode of Yards And Stripes with Price Atkinson (@PriceAtkinson) and Steve Carney (@stevecarney).
It's finally time for the biggest game of the service academy football season, as this week it will be the 124th playing of the Army-Navy game taking place at Gillette Stadium. Price and Steve start with an overview of the big game, taking you through which team has the advantage when it comes to the different aspects of the game.
The guys then welcome Bill Wagner (@billwagner_capgaz), Navy beat reporter for The Capital, who discusses the Midshipmen's quarterback dilemma and issues with the offense being unable to consistently put up points. But they also get into why Navy's front 7 may be among the best in all of college football and how they can use pressure for force Army to make mistakes.
Next, Price and Steve get into the Army side with Black Knight Nation podcast co-host and former Army football captain Steve Anderson (@BKKnightNation), as they delve into the feeling the players will have on the field Saturday, plus why it's going to be so important for these seniors to get a win in their final football game of their careers and what moving the game to venues like Foxborough does to the tradition of the game.
We then honor a fallen service member with the Travis Manion Foundation Honor Roll, and wrap things up with our predictions on whether Army can make it six wins in the last eight years or if Navy can keep the Black Knights from winning the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy.
