On this weeks programme C&SI takes a look at the issue of the persecution of Christians around the world. With reports that Over 360 million Christians suffering persecution in the world in what is an ecumenical martyrdom amongst all denominations, we look at the challenges where Christians are still giving their life for faith in Jesus Christ and the deafening silence around the issue in the western media with a particular focus on northern Nigeria and Nicaragua. We focus in on two particular countries - Nigeria and Nicaragua - and look at what the situation is on the ground in both countries. In norther Nigeria where Christians are facing death and displacement from extremists without the proper control of government and in Nicaragua where the government is attacking the institutional church as the last voice of opposition which has not bowed to their demands.
