Kelly Ward was a 3x finalist and an NCAA champion for Iowa State. He was also voted the most outstanding wrestler of the NCAA tournament in 1979. Kelly had 6 epic battles with the great Lee Kemp and posted an amazing record of 126-9. He defeated the great Dave Schultz, he was an assistant coach at Nebraska, he coached Olympians, he was a secret service agent, his dad was a legendary football player, the man is a damn champion. I had a lot of fun getting to know him some and hearing some great stories.
