I'm the host, Professor Phaedra Pezzullo and, today, our guest is Erica Nuñez, Program Officer of the Plastics Initiative at The Ocean Foundation. Erica worked thirteen years for NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, with her last position as an International Affairs Specialist and lead on international marine debris issues. In 2019, she left the federal government and began working for the Ocean Conservancy as part of their Trash Free Seas Program. Now, she leads The Ocean Foundation’s plastics program.
