I am joined by Benjamin Roberts, an American writer and an Associate Editor at IM-1776, to discuss his 2021 piece 'True Believers in the Dark'. In this article, Roberts explores the rise and stagnation of the "Intellectual Dark Web" (IDW) - which consists of a range of individuals that include: Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Eric and Bret Weinstein, Ben Shapiro, Heather Heying, Sam Harris, Bari Weiss, etcetera. Roberts' piece deals with, in particular, matters of identity and ideology, individualism vs tribalism, and to whom the future of Western Civilisation belongs.
