Was the 1787 Convention the result of a "runaway convention" that operated illegally? In this essay Michael P. Farris, JD, LLM, argues convincingly that the Philadelphia Convention was lawfully conducted. Farris has argued successfully at the Supreme Court level, helped legalize homeschooling in all 50 states with his Home School Legal Defense Association, served as President for Alliance for Defending Freedom, and taught constitutional law for 17 years at Patrick Henry College. He is the co-founder and Senior Advisor for COS Action.
