Nathaniel is a medical malpractice lawyer with Mitchell Leeds LLP, taking on challenging cases on behalf of those harmed by health care errors. On an intellectual level Nathaniel is one of the smartest people I know. His interests are broad, encompassing medicine, history, and mechanics, and whatever else currently attracts his or his sons’ attention. As a result, one of his talents is following whatever fascinates him down the rabbit hole to digest everything there is to know about an issue. With this passion for learning, there is no doubt why he excels in the tremendously challenging, high stakes, and highly academic medical malpractice realm.

Nathaniel grew up in Boulder, Colorado with a physician mother and university professor father. The medical exposure in the home, coupled with a cancer battle in his early twenties provided him with unique viewpoints into medicine. Add in math experience at the University of Chicago, a quant factory, and you get someone unafraid to dig into statistical analysis contained within peer-reviewed literature. A stint with the Merced County District Attorneys’ office bolstered his trial chops.

A note as you listen: please know that Nathaniel is a longtime friend and cycling partner with whom I’ve spitballed countless cases, negotiating tactics, and strategy. If I appear overly familiar or overly researched, that’s where it comes from.

I hope you really enjoy this episode!
