But lately, he has found solace in the iPhone app Trope, designed by Grammy Award-winning ambient musician & producer Brian Eno in collaboration with software designer Peter Chilvers. Trope takes root in the basic concepts of generative music, where notes and rhythms are inputed by the composer and then set free, where the composition can evolve over time, creating new music in the process. In this case, the app’s AI is programmed to create variations on the theme composed. Hopefully on today’s bonus episode, the soothing tones are enough to help you in your quest for needed sleep in uncertain times.
