We have partnered up with citymoves for the Dance Live Festival again to bring you a couple of podcast episodes with some of this year's performers. For today's episode I sat down with choreographer and performer Fleur Darkin. It was a great opportunity to find out a bit more about what motivates Fleur in her practice and where her work has taken her over the years, and the important conversations that has transpired from these experiences. We also spoke about Fleur's performance with Corina Wilson for the festival called My Friends Take Care of Me, which is a love letter to girlhood, cinema, and a list of complaints about what shout be better. be sure to check out the link in the bio for all Dance Live Festival events and performances. And thanks to the City Moves team and Creative Scotland for making these conversations possible. And be sure to check out Fleur's work on the links attached below https://www.fleurdarkin.com/ https://www.dancecity.co.uk/meet-the-artist-fleur-darkin-of-scottish-dance-theatre/ https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/profiles/1Jmcqq0jXp4nPRCSnfBbQBM/fleur-darkin https://www.citymoves.org.uk/dancelive https://www.citymoves.org.uk/dancelivesat15october Creative Me Podcast is a independent run project that champions North East artists and creatives.
