In the early-morning hours of February 4, 1989, the brutalized body of a 57-year-old man was found lying in the snow near his home in Huntington County, Indiana. Still clinging to life, he was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne where he died three days later. He had been shot six times in the head and sustained several deep lacerations to his skull from a hatchet. This is the story of Eldon Anson.
