When a butterfly flutters it's wings, is that enough to change the world? The #butterflyeffect is the idea that small things can have non-linear impacts on a complex system. The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings and causing a #tornado in Oklahoma. The butterfly effect rests on the notion that the world is deeply #interconnected such that one small occurrence can influence a much larger complex system. In #chaostheory the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic #nonlinearsystem can result in large differences in a later state.
