Hey, welcome to an episode of Crippled by Culture, where we talk about everything in life and relate it to the disability and chronically ill community. My name is Sean Gold and I am author, advocate, and nonverbal public speaker for the disability community.

Today I would like to thank Adam Ross for being my voice in this episode. In this episode, we are talking about the intersections of disability, non disabled family members, and finding disabled Role models.

Guest Bio: Kelley Coleman is a feature film development executive turned author, whose book Everything No One Tells You About Parenting a Disabled Child: Your Guide to the Systems, Services, and Supports comes out March 12, 2024. Stemming from her own experience, her book gives practical templates, outlines, and worksheets for how to navigate all the paperwork and red tape that can come with getting your child the supports they need, and includes interviews with over 40 top disability experts. Kelley serves on committees for Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Unified School District, and service dog organization Canine Companions.
