Nate 'Big Easy' Lofton has entertained millions as a professional basketball player for the famed, Harlem Globetrotters. But growing up in poverty in the projects of New Orleans certainly wasn't easy or glamorous and left many with no hope of ever leaving. That all changed for the Lofton family on August 23, 2005 when hurricane Katrina slammed into New Orleans forcing most of its residence to either flee or perish in the storm. Nate and his family fled to Houston, and it was in that moment that they new they couldn't make excuses for their situation but instead could make a change.
