God can use our present circumstances for the advancement of the gospel. Paul wants the Philippians to know that his imprisonment has turned out for the greater progress of the gospel. It has become known to all that his imprisonment is for the cause of Christ. After knowing this, the believers grow their confidence in the Lord and make public proclamation of Christ without fear.
