Jesus gets a bit of a chuckle out of the centurion's confidence in him - comparing Jesus' power to heal to the centurion's power to give orders - but he does have the ability to bring God's healing even from afar. "Jesus chuckles," says Interim Conference Minister Chuck Wildman, "and heals!" We have some musical previews from last weekend's first rehearsal of the Connecticut Conference choir, and raise the concerns for those threatened by cuts to Connecticut's HUSKY Parent program. In Korea, demonstrators will not let the systematic abuse of hundreds of thousands of women by the Japanese military during World War II go forgotten or uncompensated, and as we look ahead to Kent Siladi's arrival as Conference Minister, Conference Archivist John Van Epps reviews the history of that position in Connecticut.
