THIS is part three of our four part Beta* release of the Culturally Unqualified podcast**. Mexico episode 1. Here we have tried a bit of a different format (thanks to those of you who have sent feedback) from our Estonia episodes (1 and 2). This format leans more heavily into some of those interesting and unique pieces of culture that our interviewees told us about. In this episode we discuss the Day of the Dead, Soccer (football), and business culture. If you are interested to learn more about Mexico check out our full-length interviews (which we appreciate feedback with as well).

* By Beta we mean a trial episode. We are releasing four episodes during the summer to get feedback and improve our style. Then this fall we will release our first season of 8-10 episodes and do the same the following spring.

**A podcast is a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically. It's kind of like a downloadable radio program.

PLEASE rate, review, and subscribe. In you taking the two minutes it takes to do these things it helps our podcast monumentally. It does not matter if you want to write "Great job" or post the thesis you have been working on since our first episode, both are helpful. Once again, if you have any critiques, encouragement, or advice, let us know. We have already received so much encouragement and helpful critique, and we are morphing our structure because of that!

Also, make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter. We intend to use these platforms as ways to keep you updated on new material and upcoming interviews.

Once again a big thanks to our interviewees Kami, Leandro, and Jerry.

Our theme music this week was José González- Step Outside (by far one of my favorite artists), with additional songs from Rodrigo y Gabriela - Tamacun, Baltazar - Lluvia, and Troker - Fijate que suave . You can check out more music from Mexico on our Spotify playlist.

We didn't mention many things to check out (we did mention calaveras, but I couldn't find those on Amazon), we will have a lot more of that next week though. For now, here's an American author writing about an adventure through Mexico (this is actually just a plug for a book I love) and one of the more popular Mexican authors. Next week we will have more to offer.
