With the 2018 Fifa World Cup right around the corner, we take a deeper look into how corruption and foul play got the 2018 and 2022 World Cup awarded to Russia and Qatar, respectively.
Scandals are not uncommon within the FIFA organization. Sadly, the worlds largest sport is run by a corrupt and shady system. We highlight some of the shadiest transgressions that occurred prior to the announcement that Russia and Qatar would be the host of the next two world cups, the investigation that occurred post announcement, and some of the horrific tragedies that have become a result of awarding Qatar the 2022 world cup.
