Today we are bringing you the tale of Karl "Papa" Danke, also known as the Cannibal of Ziębice.
Danke was born in August -- LEO -- in Prussia, now modern day Poland. He was well liked within his community as an active member of the church and regularly being charitable with his meat supply. Out of his store front, he sold leather suspenders, leather belts, shoe laces, and pickled pork. But one day, when a tenet of his boarding home heard cries for help coming from his flat, his gimmick was up.
After a man claimed Danke attacked him with an ax, the police brought sweet, innocent Danke down to the station for questioning. They let him sleep in the station for his own protection but when they found him hanging in his cell the next morning, the police began their investigation. What they found changed their perception of this good hearted man forever...
