On this episode, Cyrus is joined by Zarrar Said, author of the new book 'Pureland', a book that got banned in Pakistan - it's a fiction book based on an actual man named Abdul Salam, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics, but then was banished from his country. Cyrus and Zarrar talk about his new book and why it got banned in Pakistan and some other countries, why retailers even in India refused to have it on their shelves, all the anti-Pakistan sentiment that was involved right after the 2019 Pulwama attack, thinking of himself as satirist in the literary medium, how India is the biggest m<<<34arket in the publishing world, how Zarrar used to once work for a publisher and got the task of writing a piece on Abdul Salam and got mesmerised by the story, being born in Lahore and growing up in Dubai and New York, the Indian mathematician 'Srinivasa Ramanujan' and lots lots more.
