This week wynton yates and Terence Rushin talk about Dora the Explorer. Generally we’d say it’s pretty good. It was a fun film to go see, although, my 2 year old was bored stiff. I’d say that this movie is not for current toddlers but more so kids and tweenagers that grew up watching the show and themselves are about to go into high school. (entering high school is a major plot point of the movie). I thought that the director and producers did a great job of retaining all the things we loved about Dora the Explorer as kids but successfully brought it into 2019 adapting it to live action. While you still have to be open to suspending reality for a bit of the plot, I don’t think you’ll leave the theater disappointed. Definitely go see it.
