1. Choppy and sloppy markets to start the year. Tech is slumping and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is now the leader of the pack. When the DJIA leads I'm always sceptical of the bull case. This is where money goes to be parked. Energy is strong
2. Gold has made a bit of a recovery yesterday and today. Remember, on Monday
gold was slammed, but it is trading up now so i will give it the benefit of the doubt that the $1860 area could get tested. I don't see it going much above that at this time. Then a pullback is likely.
3. Geopolitical events in Kazakhstan are taking place. This is giving uranium a big bid today. Equities like Cameco (CCJ) and Global X Uranium ETF (URA) are very strong today on the back of this event.
4. Bitcoin is showing a negative bearish consolidation patter. Still under its 200 moving average
