In this episode of DAOn the Rabbit Hole, we’re talking to Tina. She leads design at Element Finance, an open-source protocol for fixed and variable yields markets, and has recently built a DAO component in which Tina has played a major role. She’s here to talk about all things related to DAO governance.

Tina explains a few core concepts like yield farming and AMM, and gives her thoughts on the current DAO governance landscape and why governance is so important. She also dives into some of the biggest challenges DAOs face when it comes to governance, and the general rules (if any) DAOs should follow.

We dive into Tina’s experiences building and launching Element DAO, the challenges the team faced, and how they overcame them. Tina talks about striking a balance between centralization and decentralization, and if any elements of governance in DAOs should remain centralized.
