"You are Wonder Woman, and Data [are] Your Magic Lasso."

If there was ever a metaphor I wish I had thought up myself, it's that one. It came from presentation and speaking coach Joel Schwartzberg in his Harvard Business Review article entitled, โ€œPresent Your Data Like a Pro.โ€ Joel Schwartzberg's article

Joel, being the expert presentations coach that he is, shows the importance of explaining how data supports the major points of a presentation. Data, like Wonder Woman's lasso, are "๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ง๐˜ถ๐˜ญ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ[s] ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ธ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ด..."

In this episode, Iโ€™m going to show you how data draw out compelling truths and give you a few actionable tips for using DIVA โ€“ thatโ€™s the acronym for Data Insights, Visualization, and Analyticsโ€”and knowing what to ask from your data team.
