The City of Calgary has joined other cities around the world proclaiming this coming Wednesday, World Puppetry Day. The charge to proclaim a civic-wide day to celebrate puppetry was led by WP Puppet Theatre.
Wendy Passmore-Godfrey started WP in Calgary over 25 years ago and she's devoted her career to puppetry and this event helps in the lead-up to a puppetry conference this coming June, also in Calgary. (For groups in Alberta looking to part of the conference, Puppet Power, there's early bird registration happening until April 1st.)
Russell Bowers spoke with puppeteering professional, Wendy Passmore-Godfrey, from her home in Calgary.
