Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. We are pausing production of the DC Music Rocks show for a while!
Our goal has always been to connect the DC community with the incredible music scene here in the city. The show is only 1 piece of the total DC Music Rocks Platform. The show in its current format requires 15-20 man hours per week to produce, and is the biggest effort of the team by far. We believe that the website, and the information we share is also a big value for the community. We’re going to spend some time concentrating on expanding and improving the Live Music Calendar and DC Artist Database on our website. We’re looking at starting a blog as well to relay the news. There’s the possibility of bringing the podcast back in the future in a different format, we’ll see. We’re excited about the future!
