Maybe you have a brother. Or maybe you have several brothers. Do you always get along with your brothers? Our Bible Reading today is about two brothers who did not get along with each other.

Abraham’s son, Isaac, and his wife, Rebekah, had two sons — Jacob and Esau. Jacob and Esau were twins, but they were very different. Esau was a “skilled hunter, who loved to be out in the fields. But Jacob was a quiet man, who stayed at home” (verse 27b).

In our Bible verses, we read that Esau gave his rights as the firstborn son to Jacob. Genesis, chapter 27, tells us that later Jacob tricked his father into giving him the firstborn blessing. Then Esau wanted to kill Jacob, so Jacob ran away.

Maybe you have problems with some of your family members. I encourage you to be patient and to show them God’s love.
