I know we haven’t been totally personal with y’all; and you’ve probably ran into some of our bugs… We greatly appreciate you joinin us & for your patience. Since we built this website ourselves, we are our own technical support. Like I mentioned in our 1st Personal Blog - never let the challenge win. So let me help you see what we’ve been doin… The BOSS has been going through some business trainin in order to understand what we are got ourselves into. This is her 1st ever attempt at entrepreneurship. She’s done read books that have helped her see in the minds of rich people and how to think positive. You ask… “Why she readin books like that? How does that help you?” You see, when I was in college goin thru my MBA in Entertainment Business, our required readin were books jus like that. It helps get your mindset outta your norm. Gives you a different perspective; seein yourself from the inside out. Those books help you develop and prepare, mentally, for the challenges ahead. Soooo… it allowed us to converse about what she read. I was able to help explain the theories/concepts in a way she could understand. Break it down in other words. Since I’ve had the experience, I was also able to help her thru the trainin. I was able to confirm that what she was learnin was equivalent to what I learned in college; all w/o the homework, projects & time I spent when I was in school. We also work full-time jobs… & this trainin was all online webinars. So it didn’t interfere w/us spending time together. Actually, it jus helped us to continue spending our normal time together as well as create a new chapter of life together. In today’s world, couples & marriages are strugglin because of no communication or togetherness. We’ve never had that type of problem, so this is definitely a way to build. Plus, we have divided up responsibilities based on our strengths. She’s The BOSS; I’m the techy guy aka IT aka that Guy… “fix it!!!” Yea… cause me building the website from the ground up… a challenge but, not hard. Easier for me cause of my computer-savvy-technical-background & experience; but my 1st problem was web design language(s). You know the language(s) w/all the funny letters like: HTML, XML, CSS… yea those guys. I still need to learn that BUT… the site still had to be built, tested & runnin. Shortcuttin was gettin a Word Press setup. Work still had to be done; but done easier. Still a shortcut w/o shortin what was needed. You can’t shortcut yourself from success by shortenin the process or thinkin everythin is FREE & no investment is needed. “Tony… WTF are you talking about?” A website is an investment – there’s no way around callin it anything other than that. So I could have spent (invested) $900-$1,000 by havin somebody build & implement all that we needed for our website. I could’ve taught my wife everythin that she learned from those books & webinars – savin money… We both work but not at the same times. She works from mornin to evenin’s; I work from mid-day to night. We have a 4hr difference there. Plus our days off are not the same…. We literally saved money by me building the website and re-invested what was saved into the webinars & whatever books. Some books had to be bought and others were offered for free because she participated in the webinars. A free book here and there jus for webinar participation… NO BRAINER!! So w/the website built & her in trainin – watch how time works – PHASE 2: I start writin content and her trainin leads into learnin what our website really needs in order to be what we want it to be. While I’m creatin all the content & she gets to see the website, she notices our website has all that she has learned. The BOSS was happy. “How you do that?
