We give you an almighty FUBAR, when the Barker/Karpis gang (1935) exchanged bullets with the FBI, well, not the whole gang, just Ma and Fred Barker. The events and craziness leading up to this pivotal encounter is nothing short of nutty.
Ma and Fred Barker, were criminals to the core, leading the FBI and local law enforcement agencies on a wild goose chase in the 1930s, they were rubbing elbows with some of the times most heinous criminal elements. Robbing banks, robbing trains, murder, kidnapping, theft, and so much more.
So join us as the Detectivery State of Mind crew takes you on a crazed journey of villainy, deceit, and straight up murder when we unfold this story. Pour yourself a pint of post-prohibition beer, grab a stogey, and kick up your feet...this one is a doozy!!! The FBI's longest gunfight unfolds...and it's mind boggling...oh and if you find yourself on the run from the FBI, don't leave a map of where the hideout is in your pocket, circled, with the word hideout written on it...kind of defeats the purpose of a hideout.
