#032 Exodus 39-40

This is day 32 of our journey.

The book of Exodus closes today with the finished construction of the Tabernacle. All of the work was completed exactly as God commanded. Moses blessed the craftsmen who did the work, set up the Tabernacle as God instructed, and anointed it with oil to consecrate and make it holy for God. In the final verse of Exodus, we see that God has taken up residence with his people, seen as a cloud by day and as fire by night, displaying his glory throughout their journey.

Moses inspected all the work – and they had done it just as the Lord had commanded – they had done it exactly – and Moses blessed them.

For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, but fire would be on it at night, in plain view of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
