Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. I have 3 young children, ages 5,8 and 10 years old, so they are still developing who they are and their identity. My husband and I are helping them along the journey but some things we really are trying to hone in one of the things is their behavior and most importantly is their understanding of God. We really want them to understand that God is their Father and someone that Loves them. My children, like a lot of other children, believe that when mommy and daddy are around they should be on their best behavior they really thrive on words of affirmation but the struggle is when we aren’t around. It’s like, all the rules go out the window! And it’s like whoa, where did that come from? We have been meditating on Hebrews 4:13. I love the simplicity of the NLT version and it really makes it simple for us and the kids to understand. This verse helps us to understand that we can’t hide the things that we do whether good or bad because God is all seeing and all knowing and we are accountable to him. This verse really has helped my kids with their behavior. They have come to a greater understanding and knowing that our Heavenly Father is their protector and someone that is watching over them which has helped them to be careful in their actions even when mommy and daddy aren't watching.
