The example he gave was this company was spending millions on billboard advertising, they flipped this from a negative ROI -1 to a positive ROI +2 they did this by understanding the locations of the billboards and producing CTA advertising for nearby stores, more local messaging and understanding the preferences of the audience in those areas. Gavin gives a wonderful insight into why you shouldn't silo your marketing allowing budget in multiple places and shares how he stays on top of the global leading marketing campaigns.
