We are live from the LA Times Festival of Books. We spoke with John Palfrey the President of the Board of Directors of the newly launched Digital Public Library Of America. We discussed the open source nature of the project and his hopes for it. In the second half of the show, we spoke with two librarians: Maureen Sullivan, President of the American Library Association and John Szabo, Los Angeles' City Librarian; and Skylar Lenox of Reading To Kids about a local non-profit dedicated to sharing the love of reading.
