Have you ever wondered how hostage negotiator think and negotiate?

I admit, when I was negotiating large corporate deals, I wasn't really thinking about hostage situations.

I was keen to learn the Harvard Negotiation Project and was very impressed by "Beyond Reason" which I used in my preparations.

But then I learned about Chris Voss. He was an FBI hostage negotiator for many years - and one of the best. And he summarised his knowledge and experts into his amazing book "Never Split The Difference".

I knew when I read this book that it would be amazing to have him on the Podcast.

And here we are!

But I also have to apologise. The Internet connection wasn't ideal - and the audio has some challenges. But please listen to it! The content is amazing.
