Lamar Hires is a pioneer of Cave Exploration having started his career in 1979. He's driven the evolution of technical diving and cave diving through his work to standardize training, establish safety protocols and invent and improve equipment for serious divers as the owner of Dive Rite. He continues to be an active instructor, and avid cave and wreck diver who uses his lived experience to influence diving through various boards and advisory committees, for some of the most prominent dive training agencies in the world.
