Dr. Jerald discusses a few of the main categories of stereotypes that others may hold about Black women and explains that even if someone doesn't believe or endorse a stereotype, just being aware of it can be harmful.
Dr. Jerald is an assistant professor in the University of Wisconsin–Department of Psychology, an affiliate of the Institute for Diversity Science, and directs the Intersectionality and Marginalization Lab.
