Today we are ending this epic mini series about Liesje's Disneyland trip. This episode you will get to hear what its like to spend Christmas at DLR and also what it's like a European going to DC for the first time.

START!
If you thought the run up to Christmas was busy it definitely has no competition with Christmas day. So it was exhausting! And they started with Great Moments with Mr Lincoln. Very cute, patriotic (made Liesje cry with the cute song) Show. Great for rainy days. Then to Autopia! Which was interesting very branded.
Food and tiki Room!
Pizza planet was so cute and Liesje misses it from Disneyland Paris! Disneyland Paris has some food venue catch up to do! Andrea recommend the chicken fulssili because the pizza can be a hit or miss.
Of course the Tiki Room is a Disneyland classic and it's a must do with a dole whip! A firm favourite and really gave Liesje all the feels! Don't sorry she didn't cry even when she redid jungle cruise afterwards.
Rides
Going on the Mark Twain and seeing the river boats made this day in Disney feel more relaxed. Definitely very different and more interactive use of the space in and around the Mark Twain route then the DLP Molly Brown.
Then again to The Haunted Mansion with the Christmas overlay. Something to bare in mind is that even with the Lightning Lane, it was super busy and all the queues were full! So make sure to keep that expectation in mind for a holiday vacation during the season.
That also affected the business with Rise of the Resistance ride also. Which Liesje did additionally had unfortunate breakdowns but says was well worth the wait to ride again.
Hungry Bear Restaurant
A cute restaurant close to Galaxy's Edge. With two burgers and stuffed fries Liesje was in a food coma for a while.
The final walk around & Shopping!
With the visit coming to a close, it was time to walk around take the last pictures of the castle, take in the atmosphere and start the final Shopping.
Although, (note to the wise) try not to leave your shopping till the end of your visit, especially on Christmas Day. As it is crazy and it might be too late to get what you wanted in the panic rush that comes. However, DLR's merch collection and variety is so vast and amazing especially compared to Disneyland Paris.
Of course Liesje needed an extra suitcase for all the cool merch she got! But of course for Christmas to get a suitcase in DLR especially just before the stores closing time. Poor Peter had to run around just to see where to get one but Luckily He found one just in time.
In D.C.
A stressful time getting to DC. Let's just say Liesje doesn't like Delta and be prepared for a change. However, all worth it for an emotional reunion with Rob and Gabby whom Liesje hasn't seen since her wedding in 2020.
The white house, old two Virginia, George Town, obelisk, Air & Space, The Archives, The Wharf, The zoo, the capitol and lincol memorial of course were in the list. Liesje and Peter also got to scratch off the Bucket list which was to visit an American cinema, go to Walmart and Target. Also in that bucket list was going to a shooting
