Have you caught yourself looking back at your past experiences, and allowing them to dictate your future, recognizing how this can hold you back?

Imagine you're steering a boat, and you're fixated on the wake it leaves behind. That wake represents your past, where you've been, not where you're going.

Our brains are hardwired to keep us safe by predicting the future based on our past experiences. But here's the catch: if you're seeking improvement, growth, and change, living in your past won't get you there. You'll simply recreate what you've already experienced.

Think about it, have you been allowing the wake of your past to steer your life?

It's time to shift that focus because your brain's main job is to keep you alive, not necessarily to help you thrive. In today's Do Life Big Podcast episode, I'll be talking about why we should stop living in the past and why we need to start living in the future.

The key is to live more in the present and focus on creating the future you desire. Visualization might sound too simple, but it's incredibly powerful. Your brain can't tell the difference between real experiences and vividly imagined ones.

Are you envisioning a future that mirrors your past, filled with fear and anxiety?

Or are you shaping a future that excites you?

It's essential to get clear on your goals and practice daily visualization to change your brain's patterns.

Remember, your brain prefers the known, but you can make your desired future feel familiar. You can change your brain by mentally rehearsing your future and creating new memories.

In the end, it all boils down to one thing: you have to want change more than staying the same. It's time to stop being limited by your past and start creating the future you truly deserve.
