Σ΄ ένα καταφύγιο ζώων έξω από ένα μικρό κτήμα, περνούν, έρχονται ή και παραμένουν διάφορα ζώα και πουλιά να φάνε, να πιούν ή και να κοιμηθούν.
Μία μέρα, μια γνωστή σε μας σκυλίτσα κουβαλά το μοναδικό επιζών μωρό κουταβάκι της. Λόγω του μικρού μεγέθους του, μπαινόβγαινε στο κτήμα χωρίς να χρειάζεται ανοικτή πόρτα. Το ονομάσαμε Πέρδιξ – Περδικάκι.
Ένα μήνα αργότερα το μικρό σταμάτησε να τρώει και να παίζει…
