The implications of saying YES or NO

These are simple words but can hold weighty consequences when said too easily to the wrong question. Sometimes saying yes not only pleases others but gives them an advantage that may leave you disadvantaged - or living with an unexpected and unwanted outcome. Plus damages our reputation as a "soft touch" that others can take advantage of. Similarly, saying no too often and too easily can also have negative consequences, It can alienate others who then form a negative view of us. And, as Lee discusses could prohibit us from the benefits of sharing with others.
