DAVID BAIKIE is a man steeped in lower league football in Scotland.

There’s not a lot he hasn’t seen as a player, manager and now a chairman.

His most successful stay was at Tayport, where across 13 years he amassed nearly 30 trophies including two Scottish Junior Cups.
We'll hear the part former top athlete Liz McColgan played in helping Baikie create a positive mental attitude at the club.

He retired from management in 2015 but couldn’t stay away from Canniepairt and for the past four years he’s been heading up things in the boardroom.

We’ll hear how he’s finding life out of the dugout – and look back at his career in it.

With more teams voting to join the East of Scotland league this year, Tayport are now the only Fife team left in junior football.
But not for long according to David. He'll tell us how and why he sees them heading to the East next term too.
Perhaps that's no surprise, though, after David helped draw up a pyramid structure for the juniors 30 years ago - only to be reprimanded for doing so.
Plus David explains why car boot sales were so crucial to the club during the covid crisis.
