Hello and welcome back to the time machine. Today and for the rest of the week, we are going to travel back 77 years and visit another classic serialized adventure series by Carlton Morse. Previously, we featured the remake of the classic, but mostly lost series, I Love a Mystery with Fear That Creeps Like a Cat. Today we will start a series from an earlier show fittingly named Adventures By Morse.
This show featured the main character Captain Bart Friday who is a private investigator famous for solving cases all over the world. In this tale, we will follow Captain Friday and his friend Dr. Croft as they go to an sparsely inhabited island across the bay from San Francisco. Captain Friday has land here, and he knows most of the people in the small town, so he figures it will be a nice place for them to relax for the weekend. Things quickly start to take a turn toward the strange though, and what was once going to be a relaxing vacation quickly turns into a thrilling tale.
