Hello and welcome back to the time machine. I would first like to apologize for yesterday's episode, as I had completely forgotten that I had already done it! I hope that conveys just how many episodes I listen to to make this show daily. To make up for it, I will make this Ray Bradbury Week. This prolific author was a master of all fiction, and today we will hear two of his short fiction stories, "Seasons of Disbelief" and "Hail and Farewell." I have featured Mr. Bradbury in the past in mostly science fiction stories, but I believe that he can easily fulfill a whole week of content from a variety of different genres.

This episode was presented by CBS Radio Workshop, an experimental show that only ran for one year from 1956-1957. The show has been made famous for its adaptation of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." To learn more about CBS Radio Workshop, please listen back to Episode 25 for more information, or to hear the incredible sound effect work done on the production.

Up next, we have the first story of the day, "Seasons of Disbelief." This is a story about an old woman and two young girls who she meets one day after finding them laying on her lawn.

And now, we bring you the second story of the day, "Hail and Farewell." In this story, we will meet a man who is 12 years old, but has a birth certificate that says he is over 40.

So please, sit back, relax, and travel back to 1956 to listen to the words of the man himself.

I hope you enjoy these two thought-provoking stories by Ray Bradbury. Both stories explore themes of aging, identity, and the power of the human spirit. Thank you for joining me on the time machine, and I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow for more great stories from the past.
