As a curvy woman myself, I know and understand the unique challenges when shopping for a wedding dress. This topic is so near and dear to my heart that today’s show is the first in a multi-part series covering the issues that curvy brides face. Join me as we lay the foundation in understanding the wedding landscape for a curvy woman.

- What curvy women need to know:
- Bridal sizing runs up to two sizes small (be prepared to be shocked!)
- Most boutiques carry only one of each dress sample, usually in size 8 (which is really a size 4!)
- Trunk show dresses are even smaller than normal because they were made for a model to wear (curvy women should avoid trunk shows altogether!)
- You’ll be asked to “envision” what the dress in your size will look like on you (this is difficult to do when you may not be able to zip up the dress!)
