Imagine working children's birthday parties every weekend for 1-8 year olds. Imagine doing said children's parties back to back to back to back EVERY weekend. Insane requests, playing characters, trying to corral children all day like you are gathering cattle, and singing the Happy birthday song over....and over....and over again. Well that is how I got my first job in NYC as an actor and THAT is how I trauma bonded and met these 3 women that are now some of my dearest friends. For this episode we welcome "DA CREW!!!!" onto this podcast to reconnect and share our stories together....while drinking some Negronis..... and more lol. Please welcome Amy, Casey, and Erin onto their first episode of Drinks On Dusty!!
On this episode of Drinks on Dusty I connect with 3 wonderful ladies that I spent the majority of my weekends with for my first 3/4 years of NYC, all the way up to the brink of the pandemic. Thats right, only a pandemic could break us apart!
Amy, Casey and Erin are all artists in their own right. All three are different, yet phenomenal musicians and signers. They sing opera, they sing country, they sing musicals and I.....can rap...kind of (depends who you ask) . We all formed this incredible team at the children's company we all worked for together and every weekend we would work events On Friday nights, all day Saturday and all day Sunday, and yes...we would always go out for drinks after. We shared some crazy stories and times together during those years, and all those stories created a bond and connection that still stays strong to this day. Even though we all took different career paths after the pandemic, we still remain incredibly close, and the powerful thing about that is how different each of us truly are. Yet the bond stays just as strong because we accept each others differences and embrace them. They are all three incredible women that I am honored to have this friendship and connection with.
The topics in this episode vary from game nights to make Dusty look stupid, how we go through running children's events, upcoming weddings, and why this bond continues to last. Plus...much more :)
So grab your favorite drink and see how Da Crews connection is as strong as ever!! Let the drinks flow and the conversations grow!!! Cheers!
