Recently, Centre for Eco Preservation and Adaptation Strategies, a civil society organisation, started an environment club in Uplands High School, Mutundwe-Kampala. The Inaugural activity delved into sharing tips that school-going children, students and teachers can implement to adapt to the changing and uncertain weather changes during a school term.
In their own voices; students share tips to cope with the rainy and sunny seasons without missing school during the uncertain weather changes which include
1. Wear light clothes during hot weather
2. Do not walk in rain
3. Drink a lot of water during the hot season
4. Dress in warm clothes on cold days
5. Limit outdoor activity especially between the hours of 10 am and 3pm on extremely hot days
6. Stay away from trees and electric poles when it is raining
7. Drain stagnant water out of the compound after rain.
