The conversation with Bale starts with him telling us about his upbringing growing up in South Central LA and the trails and tribulations that came with trying to survive during that time. He goes on to talk about how, even though he didn't participate in gang banging activity, he grew up being very associated with the lifestyle due to people in his family being active known gang members. Later we then transition in the conversation to the tragic story of him being shot 28 times on his birthday 7 years ago, and how that changed him and his familys life forever. After that we discuss about how he used that situation to go harder with the music and understanding he had a gift that he needed to capitalize on. We go on to talk about how his family and his neighborhood molded him and inspired him to achieve great things, as well as some stories and perspectives on the politics that come with LA culture.
