The Nile River has been the life line for East Africa for thousands of years. Countless myths are connected to the river thats almost 7000-km long. A mythical river, drinking water, irrigation, hydropower - the Nile feeds many needs in all the countries its traversing. But there is also increasing tension over how the water is being used and by whom. To hear some of the stories of the people on the longest river in Africa, our correspondents Anna Osius and Linda Staude traveled along the mighty Nile from its southernmost source in Burundi to the Nile delta in Egypt.
