In our modern world today we rely on electricity and fossil fuels for just about everything, from powering our cars to providing us with light, the discovery and harnessing of fossil fuels has allowed humanity to grow and achieve incredible feats. But too much of anything can be detrimental and with research and studies now showing the harsh consequences of our fossil fuel use on the planet, it is time we begin changing our ways. Earth Hour is celebrated every year, on the last Saturday of March.
This year it is on March 28th. Earth Hour is a global initiative to get everyone to switch their lights off from 8:30pm-9:30pm. It's a fantastic movement and also one of the largest grassroots environmental movements to date, will millions of people joining from over 180 different countries and territories each year.
