Rhian Berning is an environmental scientist, educator and eco-entrepreneur. She runs multiple projects in the Garden Route, including Eco Atlas, a platform and search engine that allows consumers the ability to find the places, businesses, companies, restaurants and people that are doing things with the earth in mind. She resides in Plett in an off-grid home with her husband and 2 children on a beautiful piece of land surrounded by permaculture gardens and indigenous fynbos.

Eco Atlas is a platform and search engine that allows consumers the ability to find the places, businesses, companies, restaurants and people that are doing things with the earth in mind.
Eco Atlas is the first of its kind in South Africa in that it provides you with both the social and environmental achievements of places and highlights businesses that are making a difference. Any business can be listed as long as they meet at least three of the Eco Choice criteria.
