The United States and China are approaching the 40th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations. We will begin with a keynote address from a current member of Congress, then have two star-studded panels discussing “The First 40 Years” and “The Next 40 Years,” and then wrap up with a luncheon armchair discussion featuring former Secretary of Defense William Cohen and Chinese Ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai.
